Well i've atleast used the info yall gave me to find the tires i'm gettin Ratings, reviews and specifications for Yokohama Geolandar MT+ tires Now i'm looking for suggestions on some nice 16'' rims
Think i've found my rims too Dick Cepek Part M/T1168452 - Dick Cepek DC-2 Wheel They have them in a 8" width and 10" width. Not sure what the overall difference is there.....???
Really Plain English: 235/70R16: 235 is the width of the tire casing in millimeters at its widest point. 70 is the height of the tire in millimeters as a percentage of the width from rim bead to tread. In this example, 0.70 x 235 = 164.5mm. To find the rated diameter convert the rim size in inches to millimeters then add twice the height, (16 x 25.4) + 164.5 + 164.5 = 735.4 millimeters or 28.95 inches. Or convert the height to inches, 2 x164.5/25.4 = 12.95 inches + 16 = 28.95 inches. Other letters denote applications and speed ratings. Note that the width of the rim will effect the width of the tire to some extent, probably not enough to be of any real concern.
