I got a 4 inch chrome tip right now but it yellowed on the bottom from welding it on.

Cross yer fingers for me cause I don't gave the money for a new gas door right now. I hope it turns out good cause paint has been getting a little white the past few times I painted stuff.

Im no expert, but since your trying to paint on chrome, your gonna need a rough surface for it to stick. Your probly gonna have to either sand all the chrome off, or sand it really good for the new chrome to stick. But thats just a guess.

Make sure its absolutely clean. Sanding will release crap in it, you gotta let it breathe for a bit.

Yes I did and I'm not touching it. The first coat is perfect but no matter how thin the 2nd coat is it looks like that. I'm really thinking of getting the bedliner out and doing it. Could u ps every chrome thing as bedliner for me please?

It's shadow chrome not paint. When I bedlinered the emblems I just scuffed the chrome with sand paper. But you can't scuff anything with this stuff.
