Ok, so I've had this for about 2 months now. Bought it to replace the explorer that I wrecked in april, details here:91 EX by Black91EB

She's a 1992 F-250 XL SuperCab 4x4 with a 6.9 IDI Diesel. It originally had a 7.3, but at some point it was replaced with a 6.9. Same motor, just a little less power, but stonger block due to thicker cylinder walls. Behind this motor is a ZF-42 5 speed manual, which is a great tranny, and a BW 1356 Manual Shift T-Case. Front end is a D-50 TTB setup, rear is a Sterling/Ford 10.25 Full Float. 4.10 Open gears at both ends. Currently on some 285/75 R16 Cooper A/Ts that are quite bald, on factory grey steel wheels. Interior is work model, rubber floors and manual windows and locks.

Anyway, so these are the pics the guy sent me from his phone when I inquired about it.

The bed one the ground in the picture was in awful condition. I had a bed from a parts truck, but it was a different color, so I did a quicky paint job using "Ford Red" implement enamel from TSC. It looks ok from a few feet, but awful up close, so that will be redone at a future date. Here is how she sits now

So far I've done minor tune up items and replaced the glow plugs and batteries. Oil change uses 12qts. I'm pretty sure this was a fire truck at one point, due to the color and the fact that it has a large grommet in the center of the roof, and has a frame built under the back of the bed to support some sort of large heavy object, like a water tank and pump.

Plans include but are not limited to:
Tool Box (have an old rusty delta on there now, going to get a new one)
New Tires (thinking Kumho Road Venture or Cooper ST)
    Bucket Seats
    Large locking center console
Better speakers and head unit, w/ new wiring
    Winch bumper
    Sizeable power inverter
Turbo Kit (down the road aways, not cheap at all)
Dana 60 Swap (This is easy, just have to come up with the parts, which are not cheap)
Single mass flywheel (mine has the dual mass, it is on it's last legs, and would rather have the reduced pedal effort and better drivability anyway)
Cab Lights (no reason other than I think they look good)
    Headache Rack
On Board Air (never got around to this one the explorer, but I think it would be very worthwhile)
    CB and appropriate antennae

    I'll think of more later.

Wire is gone, actually about 30 secs after I took that pic. The e brake mechanism has to be replaced, the latch doesnt work. Cleaning is in my plans, but I am currently 800 miles from my truck, so it'll be a while.
