    See the 97-03's don't have that. Mine is an XLT and don't have anything like that. There's just a hole beside the tag and you stick the rod in there I thought????

    Yours might just be a hole i think they added that to the 04 and up tell you the truth its a p.i.t.a to have to use a key every time if you ask me
