So like the title says I picked up a Edge CS 85150 for $375 from a guy over on the other forum, and Im pretty excited. Being new to the whole tuner world i have a couple of questions that I hope you gentlemen can answer.... 1- I changed the tire size on the tuner from stock to 285/70/17 and while cruising down the road it reflects the correct speed on the tuner but is still running about 2.5 to 3 mph higher on my truck speedometer. Is it supposed to do that or did i mess up somehow? 2. I did my research before buying this but for some reason i thought it had an economy tune for my truck.... i guess not so right now i have it on the trans tune. I should be good to go right? Thanks for any answers you can give me
the economy mode is the trans only or #1 selection on the edge. the speedo can be off a few mph's that's normal sometimes. may i offer a suggestion. use the #2 selection, customize your shift points, gear ratio, tire size, fuel to air ratio and so on. you will wake the motor up and you will enjoy it much more. i have 33's on a 4x4 screw and get 15+ city/hwy mix driving and last road trip got 18.1 mpg in the 2nd selection. the second one gives you more customization to help get the truck to respond how you want it to. i just remember that you can also adjust the timing for better fuel mileage as well. good luck man, ask may questions, lots of guys have programmers so we can help, hopefully
that's awesome. i love mine. i thought that it was supposed to re-calibrate the speedo too... sorry, not much help, but i'm sure you'll love the tuner once you get it going the way you like.
thanks for all the info... I might try that after some more research. This is my first tuner so im kinda wary of changing to much with it. well see though. you said you get around 18 hwy with your tuner... i was getting that today before i installed the tuner so i only hope it will be higher. That would be pretty sweet. Thanks again for the info
