yeah, seems like all the crap I work on ends up like that. Have you seen that brown 86 K-10 on 35's that belongs to a guy that works at the lowes in Millington? Buddy of mine and I did the 3/4 ton swap on that over a couple nights last winter.
Will do. That truck is kinda interesting, he ordered it brand new in 86 and has been driving it ever since. Has over 300k on it, most of it on 35's. It's one of the last solid axle half tons made, and has the TBI 350 and a 700r4. Anyway, thread derailment complete, back on subject. If your guy can't get to it, I think Will got quoted a similar price from 4 wheel parts to do the same thing, and they could have it back to you fast I imagine. Going with any kinda traction aid while you are in there or going to keep it open? One other option would be to buy a complete JY axle for 5-600, swap it in and drive it, and rebuild your other at your leisure. I'm sure warford auto parts has got one.
