    I would love to add a locker or something similar but I am already strapped on cash.

    what gears are you running now? I know its probably in here somewhere but I havent seen it.

    What are the different options. I don't think I need a true " locker" and if I got one it would probably be a air locker or electric. Bit dont think I need all that for a dd. Just something that will be better than open.

    Could be 3.31 (unlikely) 3.55 (more likely) or 3.73 (most likely)

    Whatever they are. If they are shot I will upgrade. What is better than what I got but not quite a " locker" that yukon one dosnt have the best reviews.

    you can get a used ford posi carrier for really cheap, like >100, if you have an open now it would be a definite upgrade. Not a locker by any means, but way better than an open.

    Where would I get a used one or a new one?

    How do I know what spline count I have?

    You want 4.56 gears with a Detroit True-Trac. If you had the 5.4 and weren't going any larger than 35s, then 4.10s would be ok, as long as you stayed on the road.
