4.10's is gonna be best. but everyone else is gonna tell you 4.56's even though thats not what will put you back into factory powertrain specs. check my post on pg 8 about how to calculate r&p. also, get your tag off your diff and call ford (again, pg 8). they will tell you if you are ls, open, or elec; 28 or 31 spline. i think yours is 28, and the HD 7-lugs are 31 (more splines = greater towing)
i originally had 3.55, so goin to a 4.30 w/ my new tire size made it out to a 3.73, and i can definitely tell the difference. since you were lookin at 4.30, i assume you have the 8.8? what you need ontop of that 4.10 is a true street locker. and bein that we have mustang rearends, we have more parts available to us. I have been running my Auburn AutoCROSS locker for a few yrs now and its balls! nothin like smokin both tires in the back.
look at the sticker that is either on the drivers door or drivers door post, should look something like this If you look at the bottom row, you will see an axle code (Mine is 35, indicating 4.10 Open) Google what your code is for your year, and you will know what gears you have.
So what do.yall think wud be best for me and my 35s if I still wanta hit some high speeds occassionally Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk
i didnt know they made 4.30's for the 9.75. atleast i never see it listed in my 4wp mag, they go 3.73, 4.10,4.56, 4.88 but no 4.30. guess that locker won't work for ya... use the formula i put in pg 8.
I don't think they make 4:30s for my rear end now that you mention it. I used to have a 04 with a 8.8 rear end guess I got confused. Oh well. 4:10s going to be the best I can do anyways.
