Complete engine tune up on my womans brother-in-laws F-150

The reason i say to not to flush is its never been flushed w/ THAT HIGH OF MILEAGE. this was recommended w/ the wifes pontiac bonneville that had over 167K and never been flushed. Its thought that w/ this high of mileage, the contaminants will cause a failure of the trans as they push things through that should not have been moved (o-rings, etc). flushing at 60k is perfect for regular use. i tow/haul heavy loads often, so i flush once/yr. basically every 25K miles. so I have 4 flushes on the 110K on my odometer.

 

Ya i dont think it's been flushed.So just drop the pan,drain and then fill it then?

Oh dont worry ya'll i will let ya'll know how it goes.Hopefully no problems,Good thing i have the tool on hand if the plugs break.

 

Yea, thats all you need to do. You might be able to do the DIY flush. Cant remember who said to do it that way, by disconnecting from the trans cooler or some place up front, drain as you fill. trans doesnt know its being flushed, just thinks its cycling fluid. you keep doing that until the fluid turns pink like new. Lemme search for that thread somewhere...

Ok so it's not getting done today.Idiot told me 3 days ago dont worry i know a guy who works at vato zone i will see if he can get me a discount.I said ok,just make sure you have the order in by thursday morning.What does he idiot brother in law do?Waits till thursday 6pm to order the parts.Idiot,So now were doing it next friday.Pisses me off.I wanted to do it today because the woman has drill all this weekend.So know i gotta take time out of my life to deal with his crap on a diferent day.

Dude i know right.I even told him to make sure he has the order in.On top of that,its a 2 hour drive to his place then 2 hours back here.Really pisses me off.I gotta fix his truck problems cause he neglected it way to long and cause he cant afford the dealership fee's

i would fix it when you had the time. you warned him long before when to do all this. you are doing it as a favor, so he should accomodate you. not the other way around. let his ass sit on the parts til you are free, and if his truck breaks down, its his own fault he waited THIS long. and if he gave any lip, i'd throw this in for free
