got an alignment today, though it took them alot longer than they said it would, because my truck wouldn't fit on the alignment rack. Lol. Ended up having to do it on section of level concrete with the pads, but it came out looking and tracking just fine. Charged me $40 to do it. Also put a new fuel filter on. Tomorrow I plan on getting the vent window changed out, a new parking brake pedal installed and a couple other little things.
So I got the vent window installed, and replaced my tachometer. Now it works like it is supposed to. got this put on too....
very well, I've not permanently wired it yet, but I had it on my exploder I used to have, and I loved it. 91 X by black91EB - Ford Explorer Ranger Enthusiasts "Serious Explorations"®
more new parts. Again. Already changed the glow plugs in May, however, when they put the 6.9 in my truck, they used the 6.9 controller, which puts out 12 volts, and the 7.3 glow plugs, which require 9v, so they got fried in short order. When I replaced them, I used the 7.3 ones, since that's what was in it. So, as one would would expect when you put 12v to something supposed to have 9v, the ones I put in lasted about 3 weeks. Since it has been summer, I haven't really worried about it, but since fall is fast approaching, I figured I would go ahead and get this fixed. BTW, rockauto.com is awesome, they have the best prices by far, and they get the stuff to you in less than 2 days. They stock parts for everything, and the parts are name brand stuff.
So I tested the beastliness of my truck today, I have a 4x4x4 foot box of plastic pellets in the back of my truck. Approximately 2,000 pounds. I barely feel it back there. Squatted about 4" and pulls really well, can even still start in second gear. I love my truck.
