part of the reason to swap is the man step thats built into the tailgate. those ones will run around 500 without a camera and then you need paint unless you can find a black one. theyres a premium on them still
Thats pretty sick but not necessary. and then bumper im gonna keep my stsock one since it has reverse sensors and i dont want to mess with those lol
^^ You say not neccessary, until you have something on your shoulder and wanna just walk up into the bed, rather than, lower the tailgate, set your load down, climb in, re lift up your load, then move it to where it needs to be in the bed. thats alot of work. i hate doin that crap right now on my 150. i normally remove my tailgate when i need to unload lots of stuff (bag dirt, mulch, etc) and use the bumper as a man step. if you are goin big, might as well go all the way lol.
your twisting my arm here with the "go big might as well go all the way" thats true espcially if i want to throw a lift on there then it really will be a pain in the ass
thats exactly what happened to me. my truck was a breeze to get into, even w/ the leveling kit and the AAL. but once i had added the BL, it was way to hard to get in the bed. tailgate is like 4' off the damn ground! you'll be happy the few times you use the step that you HAVE the step.
This right here. if its a little extra and your gonna be paying for paint (if you cant find one your color) then its worth it cuz youll be upset you didnt afterwards. and the bumper sensors is an easy swap also really. and the newer bumper can be replaced one side if needed. its 2 pieces instead of one. so say you get hit on the left side you only have to replace half a bumper and not shell out for a whole new one
yup the 09+ f150's are like that also. theyre 2 metal pieces connected in the middle. look at the pic i posted and you can see it
how much do the bumpers with sensors go for? and as far as swapping out is it pretty much just plug and play with the sensors? u know alot of ****. were u there one who told me that the 08+ towing mirrors with lights will fit if u trim them?
