So i've been home for about 30+ min. I walk out to the truck to get something and notice a pretty large puddle under the truck, clear of some sorts. i lay down and see where its coming from and its dripping down on to the front passenger cat, then onto the ground. I open up the passenger front door and check the floor to see if its wet... dry as a bone. then I notice what appeared to be condensation on my AC blower housing (behind and below the glove box). i wiped it off, more came "dripping" from somewhere. its not a constant "drip" but it keeps coming back. I turn the truck on and run the AC on Max, barely blowin cold. First question: Could me losing all my freon (since i'm not blowing cold anymore) cause the water to form in the blower assembly? Second: Anyone heard of this? Resolutions? I'm going to take the glove box out to get a better look at whats going on. Any info you guys have would be greatly appreciated. I'll be back in a few to check back in...
Condensation is forming on the top as well. I am wondering, after reading a few articles via Google... could this all be a result of me being low on antifreeze? I have never gotten it flushed, and prolly should have 20k ago. I do have to refill my freon once every 6wks. I'm just trying to see what this could be. Thats all I know. Any help would be great. Thanks!
once every six weeks? damn... I haven't refilled mine in the 4 years of me owning my truck. I'm not sure what the issue is either.
im runnin the lariat cluster w/out the flash, so i have the clutch just set up on a toggle switch. been like this for over a yr, but first time i have ever had condensation form on the blower assembly box. right where the sticker is, and above that to the top of the box. might be time for a new rig
maybe the condensation is an effect of the blower not working correctly. Does 1-2-3 fan speeds blow at the same speed with 4 working as it should?
thats what i was thinking. and yes, 1-2-3 are barely noticeably different, where as 4 is blowin hard.
