So I'm considering straight piping my rig but my concerns are I'll loose power and performance.

Does anyone know if I will or not?

just heard of guys losing some torque. and i have only had old cars before and they were always straight piped and have people tell me the samething. unless its just all to try to scare people from doing it

They say you'll lose a tad but of low end torque but I've straight piped my old ranger, and my black scab 150 and have noticed almost 0 performance negatives or positives. Just sound. Free flowing exhaust is said to increase horse power, but even if it does it's not an amount you would notice. Just be careful about cops and your added noise. And depending on where you are you may not pass emissions if they're that picky. I know they inspect exhaust here.

im not to sure, im hoping someone more knowledgable will chime in haha. at my buddies dyno we cut the whole exhaust off of a 01 chevy truck and it lost 5 hp. kinda similar with my truck, after the headers went on i gained torque but lost hp...until i re did the exhaust

all i have heard is that you might lower your mpg's...but i have also heard of the backpressure issue. I really don't know much about that kinda stuff for gas cars. Diesel FTW
