Alright so its the third time I have had to fix my Gotts mod and I am sick of dealing with it so I am buying a aFe CAI.

I have read up and I am going with the Dry air filter type since I am up at my hunting camp constantly and a Oil filter would go so quick. I am also planning on getting the fully enclosed Stage 2 CAI for cooler air.

Throw some suggestions if you have any.

You might run a little lean with a CAI without a tune. I have to ask tho, what do you have to fix with the gotts mod?

I have a Gryphon with a custom performance and custom tow tunes already. My PVC pipe keeps cracking and I have countless times sanded it to get it from vibrating...and I have enough money to get an intake right now without having to then live paycheck by paycheck.

The CAI looks cleaner overall IMO. I've never had one problem with my CAI in the 6 years I've had it.

That was always the flaw I saw with the Gotts Mod. I had never heard of it back when I bought my CAI, but after looking into what the mod consist of, I wondered at his well it kept dirt out.

Alright so I just called PHP and they told me to go ahead and install the intake and run the truck a couple of days and see if i notice any decrease in performance or see if it throws a lean code. If it doesn't then I am good but if it does then I will return my truck back to stock and call them and they said they would re do both my performance and tow tunes for $30 for both. However, I am just nervous with these cam phasers right now and does any one think I should go ahead and get them to redo the tunes?
