hid upgrades

    Was this taken on a slope? It seemed to be aimed awful high.

    Also, notice there is no definite cutoff of light? This is light scattering, creates lots of glare. It is cause by the stock reflectors refracting light from the arc shaped HID capsule since the reflectors are designed for the straight line of a halogen filament. The HID bulb also misses the focal point of the reflector.

    The width of the output is what, 12 feet maybe? Output from projectors is many times wider, up to 140 degree angle of light output...and with no glare either.

    take it from me who's had several HID kits... go the projectors. i am saving up for the kit and will be following this man's buildthread (excellent write up by the way). if you do it yourself, its about twice the price of a set of bi-xenon HID's, but its worth 4x that imho.

    My truck is in the middle, truck on left has drop in HIDS along with the trick to the right has drop in HIDS in dogs and heads.
