I still say its not cam phasers. Just take it to a shop and have a mechanic listen to it. He'll tell you its normal and you can quit worrying.

Just cause I don't have cam phaser problems doesn't mean I don't worry. I just said you guys worry to much. Stop stressing it. Plus from the videos I listened to it does not sound like a bad cam phaser. Check your manifold for broken studs, check your cats make sure those two bolts are not loose. Unplug your VCT sylinoid and see If the engine makes a different noise. If it don't replace them they might be bad. The 5.4 is freaking a stout engine with a bunch of noises. I don't care about them. All I care about is changing the fluids and maintaining them.

I was talking to dielawn :Wedgie:

Mine's always ticked a little bit, and I've heard going to 10w-20 oil instead of 5w-20 can help, but haven't tried it yet.

What years were the cam phasers/VCT/timing chain problems?

I'm pretty sure it goes up to 06 and 07 as well.

    One of you are lying....

I have an early build 07, which is why I'm asking. I'm definitly screwed on the sparkplugs, but was hoping there wasn't anything else. I'm around 70k now

The spark plugs and the cam phasers were resolved with the 08's. This is specifically why i bought an 08. I did double checked on other forums and people with 07's are stating to have the same issues.

Will you made me log into F150Forum.com which i haven't done since i joined, just to make sure lol
