First Remove plastic cowl Second remove Six screws holding top of grill surround on Third remove headlights by pulling up on straps Fourth use size 20 torx bit to remove screw on each turn signal housing Fifth Remove the 2 screws on each side behind turn signals Sixth remove plastic bumper guards from front fenders and bottom of grill surround
You don't have to always remove the lower plastic cowling from the bottom of the grille surround. I wouldn't recommend it unless you've got an upper bumper cover that's painted. Nice write up, thanks for posting!
Seventh unclip the clips underneth the grill surround And last pull grill suround off. Next take a small flat head screw driver and carefully pry clips around grill when you have them all released you can now pull your old grill out. To replace just line all clips back up and press them back in place. I started in the middle and worked my way out, but i am sure it doesn't matter what order you go. Then replace everything in reverse order to put back on truck.
True. I just worried about scratching a painted grille surround. It is easier to remove the grille with it removed though. Your new grille looks good. When you getting the lights to go behind it?
hopefully for Christmas. but I couldn't wait to have the grill on so i will have to remove the grill again, but it takes me like 10mins now that i have done it several times LOL
