So I had a slow oil leak in the blower. I sent it to Stegiemier to have it serviced and ported. While it was away I did a little work. Polished the fuel rail, side cover on the tb, and the heater tube coming from the water crossover. I also primed, painted, and clear coated the parts you see below. I also added an air charge temp sensor, dedicated port for the vac/boost gauge, and a complete tune up.

porting a whipple? Ur kinda pushing the limits of your stock block and internals a bit aren't you lol. I'd be real careful about WOT runs in weather colder than 40 degrees, and don't punch it unless the OD is off..but you prolly already know that. Either way it all looks good. Steggy does awesome work!

Limit is around 500rwhp. I'm headed to Troyers this Friday to see where it's at. Hoping for 470rwhp. We will see. He and I have been discussing pushing it all the way to 500rwhp. If it blows it blows. I have everything in place to make 15psi when I replace the motor with a built one. I have tunes for all sorts of weather but WOT in freezing temps is pointless as she won't hook up. Seen some Mustangs pop motors doing WOT runs in sub 40 temps.

Porting the Whipple was not planned. Since they had it open I told them to go ahead. More for added effieceny than power. The twinscrews are already very effiecent and Stiegemeier can only get about 10 more hp out of them. $175 and she will be as effecient as possible. Punching it in OD applies to all the trucks. Always turn OD off before getting on it.

Sounds like your headed in the right direction. Im afraid to go any further with mine for two reasons, im trying to sell it and its my daily driver. Its fast enough right now and I havent even bolted a pulley on it..they say a 6lb lower will really wake it up. Im planning on taking it to the dragstrip (1/8) one more time while the temp is decent, hoping to get at least an 8.9 out of it..last time was 9.3 before ram air and porting. Whats you 1/8 times been?
