Yes, a tuner can correct your speedo. Most of the custom places just ask you a couple hundred questions about your truck and then send you the tuner. All you do is plug it in and upload the custom tunes. If you change anything, they can update you via email.
You should be fine with adding a CAI right now, the 4.6 didn't have the problems the 5.4 does.

sweet...i was just checking it out. Should I call them to order instead of just ordering it from the website?

Thinking this would be my christmas gift to myself..lol!!!

Are the 3 tunes all ready made tunes or you tell them what you have and then they send you 1 tune, then as you add to the truck, then they will give you 2 more free custom tunes for your new add on's?

Normally a programmer will come with 3 "canned" or stock tunes. Usually a performance, tow, and an economy or a tranny tune. Now you can order custom tunes to get the most out of your programmer and your truck. I know my dad order a custom performance when he order his tuner. Basically when you get custom tunes they make it specifically to your trucks specs. So the tune cannot be used on my truck because when you submit the codes they ask for that tell them everything about the truck, it's only for you. For instances I have a Gryphon programmer by PHP and there is a noticeable difference in torque and overall performance when I got my custom tunes in. I would order over the phone because from personal experience when you get to talking you may end up getting a deal in the end. Haha however I can't guarantee that but it's worth a try. Oh, and make sure if you haven't order a CAI, when you order the programmer they are going to ask you for your CAI brand and model. They map out your particular CAI to make sure when they do your custom tunes they fix the lean issue. I have an 04 as well and had to have tunes for my CAI. Any more question just ask.

Give Mike a call. He is a good dude. He will custom tune all 3 tunes to your liking. He has done tons of work on Raptors over on FRF and we all trust him with our rigs. Plus if you get a CAI/tune package from him, he already knows what specs to tune for the intake. An intake without a tuner is a bit of a waste.

Ok, I'm not new to this but, I don't fully understand the benefits of a tuner. Right now, I have a 6.2l Raptor and have had an Airaid CAI for a almost 2 years (no issues). I get 16 mpg's on the highway. I have tow/haul mode built in as well as offroad mode. and because it's a 2011, Ford did a much better job with the shift points than in previous years.

I'm on the fence guys, convince me why I should get a tuner and how it will benefit me. I also need help with telling the wife why I need it. hahaha!!!!

Basically a tuner changes all sorts of parameters in the engine, alters timing, air fuel ratios, shift points, vct adjustments. Basically just lets you do things outside of the factory parameters, allowing for increase power an performance. And depending on the time used can also mean better mpg

Ford makes motors to meet the needs for 95% of the people who buy a truck. A tuner usually makes the throttle touchier and motor more responsive, they tune it for the individual.
I know my wife doesn't care for how immediate my truck responds with a tuner lol.
