Look, everyone can have their own opinion. But seriously don't sit here and dog us the whole ****ing time for having a light. Up at the camp I am in the pitch black **** and when i have to track a deer way out in the woods and the only other people i have are CITY people who don't know the slightest clue about finding your way around I use this light bar now, point it in the general direction I am headed into the woods with it facing in the trees a bit....so when I am 500 yards away, I will still have a general idea of where to go back......I have have already used this lightbar enough to have my monies worth....if you think its ignorant fine....but stop dogging every post we make about it. Personally I think its rediculous for people to spend 1,000 on light who is rarely ever going to use it and just does it because they have money and so they have a named brand.
^x2. Big, sometimes its not just for driving on road at night. many times have i parked my truck by a ditch to light up an area so people could see where theyre going when muddin at night (why at night? cuz its cooler than in the middle of the day). also when driving quickly over rough terrain light that shines farther helps to see on coming curves or obsticals so they can be dodged. yes 1k sounds expensive....but when its saving the $$ vs having to buy a new truck....id rather invest in something that will last me and i wont have to worry about it.
exactly.....and after seeing my lightbar model being shot to hell and back with a .223, 12ga. and 9mm and the thing still turns on and off....then I have a peice of mind that a damn branch won't come out of no where and break my light....I buy items for the performance and durability....go get you a vision x light....then you get to replace within 2-3 years
hey preston, do you run the bar with your truck on or off? I know with all of my lights on and my truck off the battery will die in >5min lol
Yes I do, that 30" bar only draws 8 amps so I don't have to worry about my battery dieing within an hour.
Your lights arnt LEDs, LEDs use way way less energy. I left my interior lights, 2 maps and dome, 2 bed cargo lights and 2 puddle lights on all night, probably around 8 hours and truck started just fine. I have left the duallys on for 2 hours while helping a buddy catch horses and no problems starting back up. Not everybody sees the way to justify 1000 on lights, but apparently there is a market other than us out there. I made this thread because I have the dually and love them. I will soon have a 30" in the front and a 10" in the rear and think this is the best product out lighting wise. Going off quality of light, case strength, design, and electrical efficiency. I wanted to share the thread to show the quality of light for the size. J.Wal
