Who all has a SCT X3?

sleeper just leave it to the pros, you gonna mess it all up and blow another motor if you don't watch it

 

Not to jack sleepers thread, but if I order a edge for my 97, the original, not the cs or cst, could I get custom tunes for it? Since gyfron doesn't have the one that looks like the original edge and I don't wanna pay the price for the cs or cst.

 

You'll want to contact Bill. I'm not sure if they can tune the 97s anymore, you might need to send the OBD cable in with your tuner...

 

alright I'll look into that, I probably wont tune this current truck, but if I were to buy a newer one (99-03) I would probably throw some kinda tuner on it

 

i wouldnt mess with the spark or anything like that. just up the shift firmness to about 3/4 of the way up and it will feel firmer.

since you have larger tires, put that in there aswell. you will have to look up the revs per mile for your tire.

 

every place I looked at they were sold out of the old edge. I was gonna get one.

 

Ya, there aren't many out there. I've found a few new but a lot mostly used on ebay

 

I changed the gears to 3.55 and the tires to what i saw on another forum and it felt a lot slower than the speed limit. All I changed is the speed limiter. Spark and rich/lean stuff is all on 0. I can change shift firmness 5% at a time what % should 1-2, 2-3, 3-4 be? rpm max (neutral and drive) is all the way it was and rpm idle is all the way it was.

 

Yea I want one but I figured It would be best to get the X3 and get some custom tunes. I wanted to tweak it till monday when I would be able to get em.

 

Im with you on that, I like the edge but want custom tunes. And They don't make the gryphon that looks like the original edge either
