I can appreciate another brand of truck, the ford I have now is the first truck I've ever owned and I love it but I'm not gona say I will never drive anything besides a ford for the rest of my life
Straight up I would trade mine for it. But changes would have to be made on it before I would willingly be seen in public with it.
I agree to an extent. You're young, so that makes sense. I will say this, I can't say I'll never drive a Chevy, cause there's a possibility I may just drive one whether it be a GMT400 or a new model. Right now, I wouldn't have any of the current Chevy's, I just don't care too much for the looks of em. One more thing I'll add, I know plenty of guys that's had some problems with their Chevy trucks, and I also know some that's had some that are solid as hell and run like sewing machines. Proof in point, my dad has a 89 1500 with a 305 sitting at 375K that still runs like a truck with 100K on it. I knock Chebbys, but all in all, they build a decent truck for the most part. As for Dudge, all I know is this. EVERYONE, I mean EVERYONE I know that owns and has owned a Dudge has had transmission and rear end problems with them. My mother had a 2001 that she bought with 12K miles on it and within 20K miles later she had to replace the transmission. She later replaced it at 85K. When she traded it for a used Civic she had 110K miles and the transmission was once again fugging up. Her story mirrors most stories I know of Dudges regardless of personally knowing the person or from other people knowing people. There's more to that then a few bogus stories and abuse, there's clearly a problem with Dudge trucks. Not to mention, I wasn't directing that comment to you personally.
