well my wrangler m/t's are great! very good traction in mud and sand yet i can still break loose on pavement
Good call! Stick with the steelies! They look perfect on our trucks. And rim size is preference. Honestly I think a small rim big tire ratio is way more badass than a big rim to smaller tire ratio. Just personal taste. And it's cheaper. I got cooper stt and I love em.
im the same way^ this truck has 17's and the last truck had 16's. i like smaller rims on a lifted or offroad truck and the highest i'd ever go is 18

^^Exactly! I like more tire than rim anyways. The biggest I would ever go would be a 20" rim on 40's so that I could have more sidewall. The one thing that drives me nuts is that tires with a bigger rim size cost more even though it uses less rubber to make?! That doesn't make any sense... But I'm not complaining cause I've got 16's! But those KM2s that Jarrett posted are a perfect example, the 365/75/16 is almost a 37x14r16 for $140 less a tire!! Thanks for the post man
actually thats a 37.6 (i looked it up) but ya its stupid less tire+more rim== $$$$$$$ more tire+less rim== $$$$ my buddy runnin a TJ on 37" wranglers said they cost more b/c of the supply and demand of em. most crawlers and off roading rigs are runnin a 16 or 17(to clear brakes) therefore theyre cheaper. so if you have a 24" M/T tire and only 20-30 people buy them compared to thousands for a 16" M/T....then it makes a little more sense.
exactly because 35's and 33's are demanded more because that's a common size to run so more people buy them however not alot of people are in the market for 37's so they don't make as many
I have also heard that they cost more because they have to use a higher quality rubber to make them to help give them strength because the smaller sidewall height. And alot of them run a higher psi Either way reason I went with 16s is because they're common and hundreds cheaper, also I noticed such a nicer ride when I switched to my 16s with 35s compared to my other set of 20s with 35s
