OK so come next spring i will be switching over to E-fans.At the same time i might as well do some under-drive pulleys. Can anybody tell me whats involved in doing under-drive pulleys to our generation trucks?Maybe explain it to me if you have time(i know its asking allot, but am really wanting to do this)Someone told it involves basically ripping apart the front of my engine where my stock pulleys are.Is this true? Also maybe someone can give me a link to it being done to our generation trucks would be great to.

I dont have a link but its not as complicated as you typed it out. Basically you would take the bolts off that hold the pulleys on, swap pulleys, put bolts back in. You will need a puller for the alt pulley. Its really quite simple

Ya thanks for the link.It is basically the same concept.N was also reading some info on it for our generation trucks. There's no ripping the whole front end off.Just the tools, some time, and a new shorter belt.Screw waiting.I'm gonna order the parts and go at her when we get back from our X-mas vacation.

Do everybody,in the next month or so,expect some under-drive pulleys.

OK now i am reading that adding under-drive pulleys can actually hurt my power output from the alternator. Is this true? Also the power steering can suffer also when at idle.Is all this true? Was reading on diferent forums about it.

OK ppl, need the cons to adding under-drive pulleys to my truck. Thanks all.
