Not to mention, it's easy to forget just how much they are moving all the time. It would suck for the bottom one to break while zooming down the interstate running about 80mph.
I've seen them bust in about the same place. those two bolt holes have a lot of stress that gets transferred through them. You should get an AAL now... just to help
shoot man. check your shackles too when replacing it. i have heard and seen what happens when those break. the leaf spring can fly up through the bed or out the side of the truck. then you really have a mess.
When i had my procomp lift leaf springs in one snapped so i looked at the other one and where the center hole is to hold the leafs in place was a hair line crack the thick ones always go frist
Yeah this is the first time iv seen this happen , hopefully I can get some 5 leaf ones for a lil more payload And I don't know how this happened, I was just going to work but they have like 300k miles on them so that has something to do with them braking
