despite what people say, a 6.0 PS that was treated right is really reliable. There are some issues, like the studs, but that could be an easy fix if you have some money to spare. most of the real big things, like blown head gaskets, are the owner's fault because they were too dumb to make sure the engine has enough coolant and stuff. I would get studs, a egr delete, a good programmer, and maybe an aftermarket exhaust. My engine runs strong and i just had 4 injectors replaced (after 156k miles that's normal). Don't shy away from a 6.0 just because of what people say about it. If you wanna find out more there's a great website and youtube channel called POWERSTROKEHELP. great guy with a bunch of information about the powerstrokes (all of them). Good luck with your search! ask questions too

Ok. Then I'm probably going to find a nicer 6.0. I like the body of those trucks the most. And as far as exhaust and a programmer whatever truck i get will get those

even with 24v cummins you still have to add a new high flow fuel pump before your vp44 goes out

and common rail you better start thinking about new injectors

    I would either get a 7.3 or 6.0

^^this, if you can find a 6.0 that has already had the egr delete and and the studs switched then jump on it

Plus the guy I work construction for has a 5.9 and hates Fords so it'd be fun for me to get a 6.0 or something that I could get to kick the crap out of his
