Anyone know anything about doing this? Such as how far you can lift the front with the t-bars, and a suitable way to do the rear end as well. My sister would like her explorer to sit a bit higher. The leafs are under the axle.

Crank them up as far as they will go and put a 1 or 2" add a leaf in the rear. Real simple to do. Get them from rough country.

and you would gain alot more lift than what the Tbars could match i would think.

That's what I was thinking too.

So then an add a leaf can be used with a leaf under axle setup? I wasn't sure if it could or not. But since it is that sounds like the way to go. Thanks guys :waytogo:

Tbar will give you about 1.5". You could do shackles in the rear instead of aal, whichever route you wish to take. The shackles will maintain a smoother ride but with a tbar crank that might not matter. A sport trac is an rbv (ranger based vehicle) my buddy has a ranger and he had his tbars cranked before he put his lift on and riding in that thing was rougher than riding in my 1 ton. But a tbar crank and 33s with a little lift in the rear would make that thing odc.

how would a AAL raise the rear if the axle is OVER the springs?

wouldnt you need longer springs or have to use shackles?

That's what I was worried about too...

Huh, I would thought it was based off an explorer, not a ranger. That is, unless the explorer is based off of the ranger too. And from what I was reading it won't clear 33s with only 2" lift. in any case, she's not gonna get new tires till the toyos on it wear out

Yeah an explorer is an rbv too, with some differences. But the sport trac is more ranger than explorer. I'm pretty sure the front lift kit is the same meaning the crossmember is identical to the ranger. As for the rear I know explorer springs are interchangeable with a ranger but I don't think it's vise versa. But either way a shackle in the rear should do you fine. You can clear 33 10.5s with the tbar crank with a little rubbing but those are a pretty narrow tire. You can clear wider tires with wider rims with different backspacing obviously ha ha. But it is possible to clear 33s

All this is based on explorer years pre 03
