FTE = Ford Truck Enthusiast. its another Forum for ford trucks. Ive been looking for sites that seemed freindly toward the non-diesel superduties and such and these two seemed the best places. although i have definately noticed a serious lack of traffic over there compared to here.

as far as black rims. ive thought about it, but when these are all polished up they actually set off the blue incredibly well. I may photochop some black ones in there just to see how the look is, but for mow, im happy being a bit different that all the dudes with the 20" black rockstars (not that there is anything wrong with that) once its cleaned up and polished, ill post some pics.

Ya I hear ya, I was gonna say finally a super duty without giant rims on it. The smaller rims with bigger tires looks so much better in my opinion.

I used to drive a super duty 5.4 at work an I was surprised at how hard it'd pull and that thing had taken a beating!

the 5.4 is definately not a screamer in this truck, but as of right now i dont pull anything and im not intersted in outrunning anyone. In the near future i do plan on pulling, but it would only be a boat and motorcycle trailer, and this should be more than enough to get that job done. for now, i use it to scare compact cars and sling mud...

yeah stock gears... 410 i bleive. it makes it a slow off the line, but on a recent trip from tampa to FT Gordon GA, i averaged around 17 MPG. I want more grunt around town, but i dont want to sacrifice the HWY mileage, so instead of gearing, i eventrually want to just open the breathing and tune it... then if thats not enough for me, ill junkyard turbo it STS style.... im probably all talk though

I usually have some pretty grand plans... and then reality hits and i realize i have 6 kids and have to survive on an enlisted man's salary. the good news this time, is that my wife may actually love my truck more than i do, so i can definately see me being able to put more money into this that any of my past adventures.
