ive been joking with the wife about doing some mods to the van. i was actually thinking a two tone paint job with some 20" rims... maybe a lower/level kit and some TVs...you know, for the kids!

and the engine is the 5.4 Tryton. I got the 5.4 due to the fact that i was approved for 22K on my loan, and the SD he had was 26K (03 w/ 225K on the odo). This truck was on the lot for 14.9K with <70K on the odometer.
I wanted a SD, but realistically, i dont tow and I had no plans to tune it and race it... what i WILL do is hit the mud and trails, and for that, the 5.4 is actually the better setup due to the weight difference. My buddy has a 7.3L and every time he hits the soft stuff, his front end slides around on him from the weight.

I knew u had the 5.4 in ur SD we talked bout that before, when I asked what motor, I meant in the family truck, 5.4 aswell?

Looks great, love the color on the 250.

 

It's the 5.4. I'm not sure what changes were made between '03 and '09, but its definately a more powerful version of said engine. The first time I drove it i was actually surprised by the takeoff in that big ole' van.
