A cummins with a 6speed will get 20+ mpg easy.

But a VW TDI will get 40+mpg... :birgits_tiredcoffee

I thought you were looking for a commuter car...

Find a Rab/longbed cummins 2wd with a stick. You should be able to get 25mpg easy, probably close to 28 if you keep it under 70mph

i was looking for a commuter, but i can live with 20 mpg, especially out of a big truck that i'm gonna enjoy the heck out of, plus, i'm a big guy, i don't like cars, even big cars are no fun because you have to crawl in and out of them

and i was thinking about a 2wd, i'm gonna keep my truck so i'll have a 4x4, i'll just make a little hot rod diesel haha

Yeah, I just wanted to give you a few heads -up's on it. Seems you know some about it already though. Everything I've seen is: the cummins has better MPG than duramax and powerchoke, and it's more reliable. 40% less moving parts.
