My 4wd problems have been getting worse. I have the electronic shift on the fly. Often times, if Im stopped, and put it in 4, when I start to go, things are okay for a few feet, then it will clunk/jolt and put itself in 2. Then it'll randomly go back into 4 with a clunk and a jolt. For example, the other day I was pulling out of work in 4. About halfway out it randomly put itself in 2 and almost spun me around. But then it grabbed 4 again.

I'm thinking something in the T-case, maybe whatever switches it back and forth? Any ideas?

It sounds electrical... I'd get underneath and make sure all the connections are clean and tight.

My first thought was switch too. But when the switch is turned there's a noticeable click from the switch. And since this click doesn't happen, it leads me to believe its down in the t case. I'll check/clean connections sometime in the next few days, that would make sense. In the meantime, more suggestions welcome :waytogo:

Consider it moved. Also why do you use 4 so much. Leaving work in 4?

Probably same reason I do. Driving in town sucks right now, all the stop lights and stops signs are icy as sheet. you have to have 4wd just to get going 1/2 the time :Grenade:

thanks. And yes, the intersections and side roads are really slick, and even my winter tires are just about useless.
