Heard that also about the tranny's man.N then i also heard that when it learns the driver's habbits, the mpg gets better....
well im looking at a few diffrent new trucks .... and the ecoboost is one of them ..... im just not sure what imma get next ....... might end up being a crew 7.3
Dude, there is a 2001 F-350. 7.3 TD(single cab, brand new tires) in my area with 186K for only 18K financed, but cash he wants 15K out the door.If that would be of interest to you?
Really?Hell i thot it kinda low.But then again, market down there is diferent also,lol..But ok never mind Eric, lol.
thats real high, for a truck thats 11 years old, if they want that much , it better be crew cab, leather, sliding rear window, sunroof, climate control, power everything
back on topic, ive read probly a couple hundred reviews on the ecoboost, (because im a ford enthusiest) lol but ive seen a few electrical nightmares, and a couple engine flaws, i havent seen any trans issues one of my friends dad has a new ecoboost, screw, and pullin a 10,000 pound camper he can still spin the tires, thats mind blowing, we need a ecoboost v8, lol
The computer learns one set of habits, then gets pissed if you start driving it hard. If you "blow the carbon out" every now and then it's actually better than babying it all the time. A couple guys have forced the computer to relearn driving habits by flooring it every time they merge onto the interstate and have said it idles better, with better mpg and throttle response. I'll try and find the link for you
