Deleted rear cats

    50 for the sawzall since j parrots broke and he didn't tell me lol and 80 to weld in the pipes. well worth it. i got underneath it and there zero leakage so he got a good weld all the way around.

    if you straight pipe your muffler you won't throw codes, if you delete rear cats you won't throw codes but if you have an 06+ with the two cat system and you take those out then yes, you'll throw codes

    pretty much! it's a little quieter since i have full exhaust out the back instead of side exit like you

    Ahh so the exaust set up was changed in 06 i take it then?I have an 06.Dammmmmm

    yeah everything up to 05 has the 4 cat system and 06 and up have the 2 cat system

    Ahh ok.why was it changed from the 4 to the 2 cat set up?

    It was because the rear 2 cats don't do anything except cost Ford money. Thats why you can delete them and not throw codes.

    So now Dylans sounds like any 06+ with his exhaust. the 04-05s will always be quieter with the same catback system because of the 2 extra cats

    Ahh OK.But had to be some other reason why they included 4 cats on the 04-05:hmm:Maybe emitions?Or like you said to quiet the sound?

    Maybe quieter...or emissions...idk. theres not really a good reason to explain why the only ran them the first 2 years
