Tell that to every Semi driver....

A manual is more efficient at getting power to the ground and can hold the power better than an auto. I would much rather choose the gear I want pulling grades (or coming down them :jawdrop: ) than letting a 4-speed auto doing it for me...

I agree with not wanting a manual (I had a manual F250 7.3 and it like to have worried me to death :jester: ) but if you dont mind shifting I guess it's not a problem. I personally love my built auto. It's off da chain :chewie:

we're actually looking for a truck just like yours west, minus the lift and miles

manuals are better but we have a steep driveway and just don't want to deal with the hassle of shifting and taking off

My boss runs multiple dodges with 5.9s. They are not low quality. For pulling like this I'd buy a Dodge cummins before anything. I use to dispice Dodge. Not any more after working with him and his dad (who also has cummins) . Plus with dodges you wont need to worry about how to load your trailer cause Dodge has the stiffest leafs out of um.

So I'm saying buy a Dodge with the 5.9 .

Another thing is if you would look at a Dodge (I know u said you wanted an 03+) that's in the 98-99 year range. Be carefull those have the 53 block that aren't the best if you want to mod it and run lots of houses.

Down here a truck like mine goes for $18,000-20,000 easy. I don't know about up there but down here for that money you would be getting a old F250 or a 12v 5.9 cummins.
