The pads between your leaf springs get wore down to nothing over the years and even fall out. I had the same thing happen before. I cut up some square pieces of old inner tube and put them between every spring. Problem solved.
Its def in rearend. Its bad on takeoff when weight shifts and I can also jump in the bed and it does it. So is between the leafs or bushings or shackles. Also my truck wont hold much weight in the bed or on a trailer. With dads mustang on a trailer it squats enough for the flare to rub my tire. Is that anything associated with the squeak? From what T-Fiddle is saying it's either the shackles or like west said, those pads between the leafs. I forgot to put mine back in after I first lowered my truck and it would raise hell unless I sprayed PBlaster between the leafs. I finally threw em back in, and it's never happened again.
you can actually wrap the ends of your springs in duck tape too...mustang guys do it when they take out their isos
