Gears? What ratio is best?

    just curious, you say you want new springs, control arms and a bigger block etc... how much is all that gonna cost ya?

    Well I was going to order the springs and upper control arms from canuck motor sports but they just went from 380 to 540. And then i would need shocks and about 50 for blocks. Well that rise in price just threw a wrench in my plan.

    the only reason id say 4:88s is because its a 4.2. thatll still give you some pulling power whenever you tow and a little extra get up

    definitely 4.56's or 4.88's.

    what kind of driving do you do?

    If you have the 4.2 and want 35s get 4.56s, no question about it. If you have the automatic then get 4.88s. You can't go much deeper than that without changing axles

    For us guys with V8s it usually goes
    4.10s - 33s
    4.56s - 35s
    4.88s - 37s+

    unless you're a serious off-roader with little road time, then drop all those gears down one.
