Hey all, I'm looking at getting my truck chipped. I'm just wondering what's everyone's experience with tuners on the 6.0L? I'm looking at getting a h&s but I haven't herd anything about them on the 6L. I will also be doing head stud kit and egr valve delete and straight pipe exhaust. I want a tuner that's easy to use and produces a fair bit of black smoke too.

    Thanks

Php can be a pain to contact just FYI.

Gearhead automotive performance, tony wildman, truck source diesel, Vivian at quick tricks, etc are all good tuners and write tunes to minimize smoke and that is something the entire industry is working towards.

Also all these tuners write tunes for sct x3 devices.

That mentality is what is driving diesel performance and in general prices and environmental issues going up.

Cops have started pulling over any truck that makes smoke etc and it's not what is wanted.

Smoke is just wasted money and if you say you can't avoid it then you need smaller injectors, better tunes, or more air.

    bahh tree hugging hippy :jester:

yeah php can be hard to get ahold of on the phone, but they always easy for me to get ahold of with an email. But they do have software that allows you to do the tuning now instead of having to contact them all the time. I says 7.3L but they may have a 6.0L as well.
