HID confusion...

    dang. impressive...well I do have that little thin metal bulb shield so it shouldnt be that hot...right?

    so mount some HID off road lights in my housing or LED off road lights in my housing :hmm:

    the bulbs to seem to run cooler than a halogen. However, the ballasts get very hot.

    A 100w WILL MELT the factory wiring. I've melted a plug (the factory 9007 blue socket) with 55w hids, and that was a high quality kit as well.

    well a HID kit should come with its own harness...meaning you have a 12V direct source. using the factory hookup to tell them when to turn on and off. the ballast will be mounted elsewhere, no where near anything plastic.

    have you not seen my duallys? they blow mine and Laurens halogens out of the water...theyre even brighter/shine farther than my HIDs did.

    They'll work though. It's only happened once. Haha. And the extra 20 watts is definitely worth it
