So I decided to take care of a squeaking problem (passanger rear door) I was having. It was pissing me off. So I decided to break it down to what it could be. I wobbled the door to try and recreate the annoyance but to no luck i couldnt get it to do it. So I looked at the door seal... It was kinda kinked in a couple places. So i removed it up to where I could straighting it out and then come to find out in the process of getting it back together who ever installed it at factory, it was about 2 inches to long to slide back together so I done a little cutting and bam it was perfect. Took it on a drive and no more squeak!! Also had a rattle in my door which was just a lose speaker screw and my dash tray was rattling to. A clip broke. A little super glue fixed that. Now my truck sounds like it suppose to... Quiet. So if you have any annoyances, just observe a little bit. I know you can turn the music up but dam it eats at me cause I know it's still there.
My driver door started squeaking at the beginning of this year. I took the front door and the rear door apart at least 3 times and finally gave up. I decided to do a little research on it and found out that the strikers needed to be adjusted. I adjusted it, and sprayed the seals with a spray that quiets seals and it's been quiet ever since. I thought it was something loose in one of the doors. Sent from my iPhone4 using Tapatalk
I was the same way. I was even considering trading that fugger in a new truck. Sent from my iPhone4 using Tapatalk
Honestly... I felt the same way!! I don't know what it is about squeaks and rattles. It makes you think your truck is falling apart and it's time for a upgrade
The only way I know my truck is driving is if im hearing squeaks and rattles. Sent from your Mom's house using Tapatalk
