He is already getting 18 mpg stock tune and latter bars are for eliminating axle wrap. This take strain off of the trans so I'm not sure what you're talking about

The hard shifting that most people feel is axle wrap. Ladder bars eliminate the axle wrap and transfer that torque onto the frame. I know multiple people that have owned 6.4 trucks and all of them were tuned and deleted. The two that had ladder bars had to go into their trans. I'm just talking from what I've seen first hand and not what other people on the internet say. All the trucks have been driven hard. And who ever claims to get 18 mpg with a stock non deleted 6.4 needs to contact the guiness world record books, cause thats unheard of. Regen on these trucks is what really kills the mpg, because it dumps diesel into the dpf to burn out the soot. Thats how it keeps the filter clean.

Or they just lost trans and blamed their ladder bars, you'd be surprised if you can keep your foot out of the gas

I have the feeling EPA will require all diesels
to have a CAT/particulate filter soon.

In my own imaginary world, where. Respect for wome
i'm still baffled how the EPA can mandate all this stuff on our trucks, yet they dont Emission test ANY of the diesel vehicles. ANY! not just trucks, but passenger cars/vans on diesel on get "safety inspected" and never check the emmissions.

Wa is phasing out emmisions sometime in 2014 or so I've heard. Most newer cars these days are so efficient and meet the emissions standards. It's just bs anyway, if you don't pass emissions you have to prove a certain amount of cash put towards repairs to make it pass and if it doesn't pass again you get a waiver to waive your emissions test to get licensed... Stupid.

Yeah, attempt to fix it, re test, then you get a waiver, it's just a money making scheme, and most of the time its just a sensor giving off a bad reading anyway. but our standards are so low that most non obd2s pass. Hell my Mazda passed without any issues, that thing should NOT be on the road ha ha. I'm surprised it did, I was thinking cats or somethin for sure with that kind of mileage.
