Yep you got it. Arcs out to ground. The jug-heads in our neighborhood would do that to screw with someone they didn't like. Rented a Ford U-haul one time to move the mother-in-law's stuff. Stupid truck conked out 7 miles from our house. Took U-haul 4 hours to fix it and they had to drive 40+ miles to get a ICM.
Im wondering if whatever happened today messed up the new ICM I just put on it... Bought a used 1971 Torino 302 $250 no spark. Know it all neighbor Chevy guru looked at it with me even though I didn't ask him. He was trying to say it was the probably the coil, then the points and the condenser, then plug wires and plugs. I went and got a used distributor next day, he asked what I was doing, "Replacing the distributor." I said, he walked off to his garage mumbling to his friend that I thought I was going to fix it with that part. 10 minutes later it fired up and I peeled a one wheel wonder past his mailbox, smart ass neighbor.

What do you guys think.. Buy new chrome grille and headlight surrounds Or should I repaint mine white and do the inserts black??
