    because the 7 lug trucks for awhile were considered light duty F250's even though they were beefed up F150's

    yea i know that, but you would think the manufacture and aftermarket companies would list the parts for the truck under the right name since it was changed to the F150 7700. if that makes sense lol

    Just use some gasket maker. It works just fine. Black rtv I think it is.

    Right gasket FTW !

    I hear those goobs on some "mechanic TV" shows say if any of the
    RTV "silicone" gets into the gears/bearings it really F's things up in there.

    I always just use black rtv on rear ends.. :shrug:

    I guessing people who don't use RTV alot
    have just gooped it on all over the place,
    using to much and have been the poster
    child for how not to use RTV.
