i dont have any codes being thrown. i replaced the hose that broke and the truck ran great but noticed it still missed. i can hear the miss at the muffler. i cleaned the IAC cause originally it was doing it at idle so i thought maybe that was the problem.

just took it for a drive and it runs and idles great but every now and then when i hit the gas i can hear it miss. any have a similar problem? anyone got a clue where to check? illl go back through and check some more hoses to see if something else broke, just thought i would pic your brains first.

Didn't you just go through the COP's and plugs recently?

Fixed my 3.0 Flex Ranger that had the occassional miss, it was
    the EDIS ignition coil pack.

i replaced all 8 plugs recently and 1 COP.

think it could be a COP going bad? i figured id get out the fluke tomorrow and test all of them, then again it doesnt do it all the time. if i give it gas when it does happen the miss goes away. i guess that could lead to a stuck injector?

The giving it gas and it goes away may
make one think it is fuel related?

thats what im thinking. the truck has a great idle and it goes when i say go lol every now and then i can hear it miss though. its nowhere near as bad as when that hose broke though.

i might just do a full on tune up and swap the fuel injectors out and get all new boots and springs for all my COPs.

screw that. too expensive lol. might have to take them all out and clean em.

i can make a cleaner with a momentary contact switch, an injector female connector from the junk yard and a bowl of injector cleaner.
