Has anyone had any experience with Pro Comp shocks? I've gotten mixed reviews from internet searches. NTB has been bugging me for a while about changing the shocks and I'm starting to notice the ride getting rough. I found a set of Pro Comp Pro Runner SS shocks and struts for $360 on 4 Wheel Parts and was trying to figure out if they're worth getting.

IMHO if you are gonna pay $360, you might as well get a set of Bilsteins for that same price. And DON'T let NTB put those on for you. Save the coin and do it yourself :waytogo: lots of us are around the area and can assist if need be.

Alright I'll check out the Bilsteins. And oh I won't. The only thing NTB does for me is rotate and balance my tires and align the steering. I prefer doing the work myself. And should I look at the 4600s or the 5100s? Any website suggestions?

the 5100's are the way to go. i would check w/ truckaddons. sometimes you can get them to get you a good deal. you can also take internet deals to 4WP and they will price match. I got my set of 5100's from them, for a 0-3" lift, for the $360 price.

get the bilstein 5100's! have them with my 6" and love the ride! and if you need help changing those struts i'm only a city over. as nerve racking as it was when me and danny changed my struts i think i can do it again, as long as you have a compressor and an impact

As of now the Bilstein 5100s are running about $430-480 for the set of 2 struts and 2 shocks. Not sure when I'll get around to doing them but if I end up needing some help I'll definitely let y'all know. Thanks for the info though. First thing I gotta fix is my drivers side tie rod... again... NTB told me it was just the outer tie rod end a few months ago so I changed it. Well yesterday they told me they wouldn't touch the alignment because the tie rod end is in such bad shape. I got down there looking at it when I got home and the inner tie rod is actually the thing moving and wore out the outer tie rod end. Luckily duralast parts have a limited lifetime warranty so it should be covered.

You have a rack and pinion so no inner tie rod. And I strongly recommend NOT going to NTB I put up with their shat too long. Everytime I went In there for an alignment they'd say something needed replacing when it didn't. You can move your tierod without it needing to be replaced.. NTB just likes to make excuses so they don't have to do alignments. Funny thing is after my lift I took it to NTB and they said its so far off they wouldn't even touch it. I bring my truck to a reputable alignment shop on town and they knocked it out perfectly. Everything in green. NTB can suck a fat one.
