    I didn't think about using the old pieces as a template.

    I've already go the square tubing with brackets welded on.

    Thanks Joe. The metal around the areas is fresh metal. The only problem I see with fitting in a piece of metal is that the bed has a contoured surface to it. Ill have to try and bend the metal to.fit.

    still waiting for the paint to dry. its almost there. i should be able to weld the bars on tonight i hope. just gotta grind some of the paint off when it dries.

    need another can of paint...the frame was staring at me while..since im waiting for the bed to dry i figured id paint that too.

    figured since i was already waiting for the paint to dry to weld the bars on i would just use the rest of the can and start painting the rest.

    ive got till saturday to finish this project, thats when my dad comes home from Chicago. hed be pissed if he saw his garage right now lol good thing im not working right now!
