Well since I got banned and had nothing better to do. I decided to install my troyer e fans. Pretty straight forward install. Only messed with two wires on the truck itself which is ac (gray and white wire) and accessory (red and yellow wire) nothing to hard. Also since i have a saleen radiator, nothing to really mount it to. I used zipties on the hooks that hold the fan shroud and metal strapping to mount the top where the stock bolts went on the upper portion of the fan shroud. This should hold me by till I build my aluminum brackets but honestly the way I have it set up, I don't think it matters the mother****er isn't going anywhere but just for peace of mind gotta build something Truck seems to like it a lot better and no more belt sqeak at wot. Woot! Ill drive it around a couple weeks and tell you if it benifits my mileage or anything.
hahah a who said getting a vacation was a bad thing. got you off your ass to put the fans in! looks good man. ive got my fans held in with zip ties, no problems thus far. nice clean wire job too man. the wiring on the fans i got were so thick and stiff they were hard to cover lol. might do a little buttoning up some time soon...ive got so money projects to finish damnit.
Funny thing is, it was raining and 30+ outside. It was a cold mother****er but got tired of it sitting in the corner of my room. haha.
lol i love wiring and making it look factory. im a little un happy with how my engine bay wiring is looking right now though lol. ive got one big 0 gauge wire running cross the back of the engine, hung up of course, for power to my aftermarket fuse panel for lights, fans and whatever else lol i love my E fans man. best mod ive done i think. truck stays nice and cool without that clutch fan and it took some stress off the engine.
If you look close on that first picture near the bottom you'll see my big blue wire for my amp lmao!! But that's the only time you really see it. Lol The 07/08 f150s have a sensor on their clutch fan. I was wondering why my motor would hesitate at wot at rpms above 3500 rpms. these clutch fans was not made to go over revs of 3200 or something like that according to troyers manual. So glad I got that **** off.
