Oh I didn't realize they were wired into the factory harness. I bet like you said they just want more power than the factory harness can put out. I'm kinda surprised it handles the PIAAs to begin with.

PIAAs were 55w I believe and these are 110w I think. Not 100% sure on that number...

Replacing rear shaft rear ujoint. I think this was the problem... :jester:

No impact, all hand tools and I managed to bust the top of one of bearing caps off. Little puff of smoke and I don't know where the top went lol had one side pressing against the ball joint presser and the rest exploded :jester:

Dang that sucks, I had that same issue trying to find a solid u joint for the fastback. Ended up just ordering a custom built driveshaft with u joints haha

Haha doesn't surprise me you had to get the best of the best for that fastback :jester:

U joint is in and seems to be doin fine. Not too sure the snap rings are completely seated, I had a hell of a time getting both sides to fit really snug in the gaps. I'm just going to be keeping an eye on them for now. No more squeak!!

I'm going to fix my exhaust rattle tomorrow. Ill take some pics to show you guys what happened to the OBX headers.

Haha, yea but my pockets are hurting from that car

When I replace u joints I use a little circle wire wheel for a dremel to clean out the snap ring slots for the u joints. Works well as it always seems to have crud built up in there.
