After getting a Yeti tumbler for Father's Day and being super impressed, I debated picking up one of their coolers, but I can't see spending $300 or $400 for a normal sized cooler. I can just buy a sh*t ton of ice for the money I'm saving. :jester: they're nice coolers and work great, but damn.

The tip is a nice addition. Good choice!

Just save yourself the money and buy an igloo and spray two inches of insulation around it and call it a day :jester:

All bs'ing aside, if you drill a small hole in the lid of one of those regular coolers and squirt that foaming insulation into it it makes a big difference. If Yeti decides to add wheels and a retractable handle I may bite, till then, I got to have a rolling cooler. I ain't got time to be carrying no damn cooler

I don't understand the appeal of Yeti coolers. They don't hold ****. You have this massive cooler but it's 80% insulation and enough interior space for a whopping 6 pack.

Sure, they keep your beer cold for 4 days. But if you're somewhere that you need a cooler for 4 days, that damn Yeti isn't going to hold enough to make it through the first day and a half!

So you have a $400 cooler that keeps your drink cold for several days but it don't matter cuz it doesn't hold enough to make it through a few days in the first place.

someones a little salty :jester: my 45 quart held two 20 pound bags of ice and a 15 pack of miller aluminum bottles. i'm not a fast drinker at all so thats perfect. I just hated going to the beach with a cooler full of beer and at the end of the day you come home with beer left over and all the ice is melted already. Plus when i'm sitting in my bedroom playing vidya games it doubles as a mini fridge :peace:

Avoiding melted ice at the end of the day is understandable. Not that dumping out a cooler full of water is particularly difficult haha.

I fixed the cold drinks in my room issue with a...mini fridge... :jester:

Wait, you had beers left after being at a beach all day?!?! The only way I can tolerate a beach is to drink a shat ton of beer. So carrying home a cooler full of melted ice and left over beer isn't a problem for me, I'd just have a cooler full of cold water...

I get the appeal of Yetis. They work great, but sadly I think half of the people buying them are buying them to keep up with their neighbor and to be able to plaster a Yeti decal on their truck. I'd seriously consider a Yeti if they offered them with wheels and a retractable handle. I'll just stick with my 60qt Igloo Ice Cube that does okay. I usually use it at a hotel so I use their ice. No moneys spent to refill it. :jester:
