my 98 f150 build

    I bought this last year from my uncle. Needed a cheap work truck and he offered me a pretty good deal on it so... it's a 98 with the 4.2 and 5 speed. It's a regular cab with the short bed. The rear end has been upgraded to 3:55s with l/s.

    I've had the truck for a while now. The first day I had it I removed the pin stripping from the top and bottom belt line. Those in a old head unit and some Kenwood coaxial that I had sitting around, along with a MA audio 12 in a home build ported box. I took the sub and amp out due to the rear window leaking.

    Today I tossed in a expedition grill, found it on Facebook for 20 bucks so I snagged it.

    The plan is this:
    Expedition grill
    Lightning headlights
    Painted mirrors
    Painted door handles
    Lowered 3/4
    Lightning wheels
    New paint

    Upgrade stereo (still deciding on equipment)
    Expedition or Navi seats
    Expedition console

    When/if the 4.2 ever dies, a mild carbed 5.0 swap (explorer long block with small cam)?
