Yea, yea, its not a Ford but i've got a '01 Dodge Ram 2500 24 Valve and wanna get a programmer for it to get some better mpg, being she's became my daily driver to work. I know Joey's told me and mentioned on here the SCT custom Tunes, or something like that, but from what i remember him sayin their super expensive. So, one day it'd be nice to have that, but for now, a standard something would work. Open to any suggestions, thanks

I would look at Edge or Banks. They're a lot more expensive than for gas ($400+) but they are also hardwired in so you can switch levels on the fly and you get 5 or so power levels to choose from.

In my own imaginary world, where. Respect for wome
Get an SCT Tuner. The basic tunes are way better than an Evo, atleast on the gas version. And then when you get the cash to get an SCT tune, you already have the hand held to store it, so you can get the tune emailed like PHP does.

Certain companies perform better then others on different makes of trucks. I'd suggest lurking on a Dudge site and seeing what most of those guys are using and have used. Just my .02 cent...

I had an SCT tuner fail during upload and smoke my trans control module. SCT tried to recover the files so I could re-upload but no dice.

as far as i know the venom will only kick in when the engine is under load..i.e...high revs..it can be tweeked to the users specs but is supposed to not effect daily driving or milage....

Well, before it was my truck we had a Edge EZ tuner in it and i loved it, little did i know before i bought it, at some point, my uncle took it for his own use....anyway, and yea i'm on the Cummins Forum also, but...never really get much help from those guys. Its like me, a 20 year old college student, and a bunch of divorced old guys with alot of money they wasted on a truck trying to take the place of their ex-wives lol. Point is they know nothing about the actual trucks, most atleast. Which helps me none, cuz neither do i hahahaha. But i'll stop ranting, and thanks guys for the tips and suggestions so far
